Interview with you activists: Leila Aruri and Dalia Fuleihan

On today’s program Prof. Susan Akram interviews two young activists, Leila Aruri and Dalia Fuleihan. They will be talking about their experience, and lesson learned, as student organizers for Palestinian rights. LEILA ARURI a recent graduate from UMass Amherst, where she was the president of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP). She studied public health with a focus in reproductive health, rights, and justice. She developed her passion for social justice from her grandparents, Naseer and Joyce Aruri, who impressed on her their unwavering commitment to human rights for everyone. DALIA FULEIHAN was a member of Northwestern University’s Students for Justice in Palestine chapter and one of the organizers of the NUDivest campaign. She is a recent graduate from Boston University School of Law where she participated in the International Human Rights Law Clinic and organizes with BU’s National Lawyers Guild chapter. She has interned with both the National Immigrant Justice Center and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and was the BU Chapter Director of the International Refugee Assistance Project.
